Om racisme goed te kunnen begrijpen, moeten we de bittere kant van de Nederlandse geschiedenis kennen. Slavernij en kolonisatie maken hier onderdeel van uit.
In de serie Welkom in de IJzeren Eeuw zie je in scherpe sketches de positie van Nederland vroeger en waarom bijvoorbeeld de afschaffing van de slavernij in 1863 eigenlijk helemaal geen echte afschaffing was.
